TPACK Quest

Gamification Badge: taught us how to integrate technology into teaching. The skills I gained were more knowledge on the academic research behind technology in class.

Digital ID: From this badge I learned the importance of being responsible online and teaching students the same things. I will definitely be using the websites and resources provided in this tutorial. I now know how to be a responsible tech user.

Digizen Badge: from this I now understand the rights and responsibilities of being an online citizen.

PBL Badge: from this I learned the importance of problem based learning. I hope to use this on projects and assignments with the students.

PJBL Badge: This lesson expanded on the previous problem based learning environment by encouraging the use of technology, specifically for reading and writing.

Digital Teacher Badge: I learned about blended lessons for this badge. It represents the act of using technology to enhance lessons, but maybe not necessarily base lessons only on technology.

Cup of Wisdom:
Since starting this class, I have been constantly challenged to move out of my comfort zone and have been consistently trying new things. I feel like I have a variety of skills that I did not have before this class, and I am more willing to take more risks and try new things online. I now have a variety of skills and websites and blogs and apps that I can use to teach, which is an amazing feeling. Having the resources and the tools to be successful is very exciting I know I still have work to do, but at least now I have a basic knowledge on how to do a variety of technology related things.

While doing the weekly modules I learned so much. I would use this form of "gamification"-like learning to encourage my students to be good learners. I like the format of these assignments, I like how it provides different options each week and different submission options. Overall I found it a very effective teaching method and I will hopefully use this in my classroom one day, on any subject at all because it could literally be applied to anything.
